What the Hell is Kawasaki Disease? or Another Pod Person Bites the Dust

Kawasaki Disease? Is that anything like Yamaha Disease or Honda Disease? Maybe it's like Harley Davidson Disease.

The reason that I am asking this stupid question is because John Travolta's son, Jett just died - supposedly from symptoms relating back to Kawasaki Disease. That's what they would have you believe anyway.

I looked up this disease because before I slam the living shit out of it for being bogus I want to make sure I have my facts straight on its legitimacy. So this is what the doctors say it is:

KAWASAKI DISEASE

Kawasaki disease is an illness that involves the skin, mouth, and lymph nodes, and most often affects kids under age 5. The cause is unknown, but if the symptoms are recognized early, kids with Kawasaki disease can fully recover within a few days. Untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can affect the heart.

So in a few days if you get on it you can cure it. A few days.

Kawasaki disease occurs in 19 out of every 100,000 kids in the United States. It is most common among children of Japanese and Korean descent, but can affect all ethnic groups.

19 out of 100,000 kids in the US. Mostly Jap and Korean but can hit all ethnic groups. Hmmm, they don't give the specs for Japan and Korea, only the US. Odd.

Kawasaki disease can't be prevented, but usually has telltale symptoms and signs that appear in phases.

You can't prevent any disease stupid. How can you prevent something that you don't know anything about? And most illnesses occur in phases. First you get one symptom, then another. Sometimes that symptom will go away and come back again. What does the term "phase" mean? I know people who have heart attacks in phases. What does that mean?

The first phase, which can last for up to 2 weeks, usually involves a persistent fever higher than 104° Fahrenheit (39° Celsius) and lasts for at least 5 days.

A fever higher than 104? That would normally kill someone if not cook their brains. The fever that is higher than 104 lasts for at LEAST 5 days? Uh, I think a person would be dead by that time. Scarlet fever does this as well and normally does extreme destructive damage. High fevers for extended periods of time usually cause irreversible damage. But they treat it like it is normal. 104 fever? That's nothing. Right.

Other symptoms that typically develop include:

* severe redness in the eyes
* a rash on the stomach, chest, and genitals
* red, dry, cracked lips
* swollen tongue with a white coating and big red bumps
* sore, irritated throat
* swollen palms of the hands and soles of the feet with a purple-red color
* swollen lymph nodes

Sounds like Scarlet Fever idiots! Who are they trying to fool here? These same symptoms can be attributed to Scarlet Fever.

During the second phase, which usually begins within 2 weeks of when the fever started, the skin on the hands and feet may begin to peel in large pieces. The child also may experience joint pain, diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain. If your child shows any of these symptoms, call your doctor.

Scarlet Fever! My mother had the same thing in the 30's and that is what it was. The same thing.

No single test can detect Kawasaki disease, so doctors usually diagnose it by evaluating the symptoms and ruling out other conditions.

The doctors don't fucking know anything, it is all guess work. Maybe if they had come to medical school on the day they were going over Scarlet Fever symptoms there would not be a problem.

Most kids diagnosed with Kawasaki disease will have a fever lasting 5 or more days and at least four of these symptoms:

* redness in both eyes
* changes around the lips, tongue, or mouth
* changes in the fingers and toes, such as swelling, discoloration, or peeling
* a rash in the trunk or genital area
* a large swollen lymph node in the neck
* red, swollen palms of hands and soles of feet

They have said this already.

If Kawasaki disease is suspected, the doctor may order tests to monitor heart function (such as an echocardiogram) and might take blood and urine samples to rule out other conditions, such as scarlet fever, measles, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, or an allergic drug reaction.
Treatment.

It's Scarlet Fever stupid! The doctor who invented this wanted his name on a disease.

Treatment should begin as soon as possible, ideally within 10 days of when the fever begins. Usually, a child is treated with intravenous doses of gamma globulin (purified antibodies), an ingredient of blood that helps the body fight infection. The child also might be given a high dose of aspirin to reduce the risk of heart problems.

It was first described in 1967 by Dr. Tomisaku Kawasaki in Japan.

You sir, are an idiot.

Now let's compare Scarlet Fever symptoms.

SCARLET FEVER

Definition

Scarlet fever is a disease caused by an infection of the throat with group A beta-hemolytic streptococcal bacteria (strep throat).

Causes

Scarlet fever was once a very serious childhood disease, but now is easily treatable. The time between becoming infected and having symptoms is short, generally 1 - 2 days. Illness typically begins with a fever and sore throat. It may be accompanied by chills, vomiting, abdominal pain, and malaise.

The streptococcal bacteria produces a toxin that causes a rash to appear 1 - 2 days after the onset of illness. The rash usually first appears on the neck and chest, then spreads over the body. It is described as "sandpapery" in quality. The texture of the rash is more important than the appearance in confirming the diagnosis. The rash can last for over a week. As the rash fades, peeling (desquamation) may occur around the finger tips, toes, and groin area.

The main risk factors is infection with the bacteria that causes strep throat. A history of strep throat or scarlet fever in the community, neighborhood, or school may increase the risk of infection.

Symptoms

* Sore throat
* Fever
* Vomiting
* Rash on neck and chest; rough "sandpaper" feel to the skin
* Peeling (desquamation) of the finger tips, toes, and groin
* Swollen, red tongue (strawberry tongue)
* Pastia's lines (bright red color in the creases of the underarm and groin)
* Chills
* Headache
* Generalized discomfort (malaise)
* Abdominal pain
* Muscle aches

Exams and Tests

* Physical examination
* Throat culture positive for Group A Strep
* Rapid antigen detection (throat swab)

Treatment

Antibiotics are used to kill the bacteria that causes the throat infection. This is crucial to prevent rheumatic fever, the most feared complication of strep throat and scarlet fever.

Outlook (Prognosis)

With proper antibiotic treatment, the symptoms of scarlet fever should resolve quickly (though the rash can last for up to 2 - 3 weeks before it is fully resolved).
-----------

The kid had Scarlet Fever and whoever diagnosed him was probably some nut case Scientologist doctor who got his license off the internet to practice medicine or better yet maybe L Ron Hubbard bestowed it on him from outer space where Hubbard supposedly resides now.

Here's where the problem comes in - Travolta blamed disinfectants and fertilizers for the problem. How many of those things did he let his kid around? Not only that I would like to ask him how many of the rich and famous even allow those things to come into EYESIGHT let alone be in their general breathing hemisphere? The rich and beautiful don't handle things like that. That job is to be handled by the hired help and their children don't intermingle with the low life hired help. So that excuse is bullshit.

Here's the quote out of one of many articles on the net: Jett, 16, was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease 16 years ago, leading his parents to blame the chemicals in household cleaners and fertilizers.

What a load of shit.

Travolta, who I consider to be quite insane, told Larry King that he had insisted on everything being extremely clean at all times. To the point they were steam cleaning rugs every week. Sounds like an OCD problem to me.

Let me diagnose the problem for you Travolta:

Your kid didn't "hit his head in the bathtub", he slashed his wrists because you are his father and Scientology is a nut case religion that makes no sense. If you are telling people that he was having seizures then what would cause that? Not Kawasaki Disease. It says nothing about seizures. Maybe, IF THERE WERE SEIZURES, it was in fact drug related, illegal drugs that is, not household chemical drugs. Jett, having to had lived under your roof for the last 16 years being blamed for everything having to be kept clean probably developed an extreme inferiority complex and an insecurity issue. Looking at pictures of him he was a lard ass. His father is supposedly physically fit and I would think he would have IMPOSED that on his son. You look at the fat famous kids they usually all have drug problems or problems relating in general.

The kid couldn't stand being with those people and in that hair brain religion. He probably just wanted to be normal and couldn't be because his father is a REPORTED control freak.

How sad for these children. They are bred into these circles and subjected to God knows what that we aren't told about. The parents really cannot take the complete blame for this since they came up the same way. But what they can do is do us all a favor and get STERILIZED and refuse to raise ANY other children as theirs. NO MORE POD PEOPLE PLEASE!!!

But that won't happen. They will keep polluting the gene pool with these pod people. It's sad these things have to happen, but maybe Jett's legacy will be to bring attention to a problem that is shrouded under great mystery.

L RON HUBBARD WAS A NUT CASE! And the morons who join his church are idiots.
