The Wonderful World of File Sharing Revisited

I posted the other day about the fact that when the movie "W" came out last week that no copies showed up on file sharing sites. This was a strange thing since almost all movies that I know of are always posted to file sharing sites within 48 hours of showing up in the theaters. It has been over a week and no copies were circulating. Well that makes one wonder.

Yesterday, midday, a copy managed to show up on Mininova. Camcorder version (which is normal) got posted by the release group CAMELOT. But the odd thing about that release was what the group listed in the details.

They said that the copy was barely watchable due to angles and flickering. What? What the hell is that? Angles and flickering? What is that?

Release groups know how to record movies. That is what they do. They know where to sit and what to do. What is flickering?

We know that the theaters aren't packed because the movie is not even making any money. They are going to take a loss on this movie in the theaters. It will probably make its money when released overseas and on DVD. This may end up being a straight to video movie. Whatever.

But don't tell me that we are on the net sharing files amongst ourselves. This is a perfect, irrefutable example of the fact that the powers that be are controlling the file sharing world as they do the net in general. There is no way to get away from them, they have it all controlled. But then again they have had years and years to perfect their game plan.

In a way it is sad and in a way it is funny. But in the end it is futile.
